Recital is the newest series from Whisky Concerto, launched in 2024, featuring whiskies selected by individual shareholders according to their unique preferences. Eight is the lucky number in Chinese culture, and Sean, a doctor working in hospital, chose this number to represent her journey with this exceptional cask.

When Whisky Concerto first encountered this rum, several shareholders were immediately captivated by its attractive, juicy character- though Ten Cane Distillery remained largely unknown among the group. It was suggested that Sean, being a passionate rum lover herself, should acquire this cask and allow it to mature for a few more years before bottling.

Ten Cane was a closed distillery owned by LVMH, operating for only a brief decade from approximately 2005 to 2015. Known for its distinctive light rum style, the distillery primarily crafted rums from 100% cane juice, with only a short period using a blend of 75% cane juice and 25% molasses. While the original Ten Cane bottlings were matured in cognac casks for their first 10 months, this exceptional expression enjoyed a luxurious 4-year maturation in cognac casks in the Caribbean before continuing to Europe for further ageing in a refill rum cask.

Blushy Crushy earned its playful name from its irresistible fruitiness—an abundance of sweet notes featuring white peach, lychee, and ripe pear that captivates from the very first aroma.
