Whisky Concerto Recital 3.3 [Le Flâneur] Peated Blended Malt 2017 7 years old

Recital is the newest series from Whisky Concerto, launched in 2024, featuring whiskies selected by individual shareholders according to their unique preferences. Recital 3 was picked by David, a Bowmore maniac (SMWS code 3), to present his selection.

This innovative project represents a fascinating experiment born from sustainability and curiosity. After bottling Recital 3.1, we took its emptied but still-active cask and filled it with half the contents from Recital 3.2's cask. As a sustainable independent bottler, we believe in maximizing every cask's potential rather than letting these flavour-rich vessels sit idle. Recital 3.3 allowed us to study the interplay of residual flavours and continued wood extraction—turning potential waste into an exciting discovery.

Le Flâneur is a type of urban male 'stroller' and it is derived from an old Norse word flana, meaning 'to wander without purpose'. This term embodies the quintessential Parisian spirit of the leisurely observer- one who strolls through life with purposeful aimlessness, discovering beauty in unexpected moments. This French concept, immortalized by poets like Baudelaire, celebrates the art of wandering without destination, allowing curiosity to guide the journey.
