About This Whisky

Cask Le Sens x Rhythm & Booze Blended Scotch Whisky 7+ Years Old

Description

This is a special collaboration between Cask Le Sens and award-winning hybrid indie bottler and record label Rhythm and Booze Records, the world's first combination record label and independent bottler.

This incredible whisky was developed directly inspired by the music of soulful Edinburgh singer-songwriter Nicole Smit. Blending together elements of pop, soul and jazz, Rhythm and Booze Records #4 matches her sound: initially sweet, easygoing and accessible but revealing surprising depth and playful complexity over time.

Just scan the QR code that you'll find on the bottle's back label to stream or download Nicole’s original songs recorded exclusively for this release, pour yourself a dram, and enjoy the ride.

As for the blend itself, a significant portion of 35 year old Invergordon grain whisky was used to highlight creamy and buttery notes, while malts from Speyside and the Highlands provide structural integrity and fruity character to complete the composition.

This is blending in its purest form, built from scratch with no shortcuts. It is bottled at 50% ABV, an ideal balance that makes this special whisky mellow, vibrant and deep.

Tasting notes:

Body - Creamy and fresh

Aromas - Baked pears and vanilla custard introduce themselves first, before a wider parade of aromas including butter cookies, cinnamon, and caramel proudly march in. Softer citric notes of grapefruit peel.

Taste - The cookies take centre stage. Stroopwaffels, Swedish Pepparkakor ginger cookies, Indonesian nastar pineapple tart cookies and also traditional digestive biscuits all compete for attention. Orange citric freshness persists at the edges, while cloves and prunes hint at additional depths.

Distillery: Blended Scotch Whisky

Distilled: 11 Dec 2018 (The Youngest one in the blend)

Bottled: 23 Feb 2026

Outturn: 300

Abv: 50%

Label Design: Adrian Borque
